  The Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, honors the bravery of Filipinos and American soldiers during World War II when the Philippines was invaded by the Japanese. At dawn on April 9, 1942, Major General Edward P. King of the United States Army was forced to surrender over 76,000 Filipinos, Chinese, and American soldiers to the Japanese. The soldiers were expected to hike 90 miles (145 kilometers) to San Fernando's Camp O'Donnell. Thousands of inmates died from malnutrition, thirst, and illnesses before reaching the camp during the trek (also known as the Bataan Death March).                                 Despite their defeat, the captured soldiers remained strong and emerged as heroes as a result of the battle.   This quarter feels so short compared to the first one. For 8 weeks, I learned a lot of things from each subjects. But to be honest, I’ve learned more from ICT compared to other subjects because ICT gives us a lot of tasks for each week but it’s not a bad thing since in each tasks, the instructions are as clear as crystal.                   I learned a lot this quarter but understanding lessons, especially from the major subjects was very hard for me because I find it harder when I’m the only one learning/self studying. This is why I prefer face to face classes because there’ll be a teacher in fron of you to teach and instruct you in every lessons.                   In order for me to   finish my modules, I ask my teachers for guidance or search the lesson on YouTube to understand the lesson.    ...

The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. The fiesta commemorates the town's patron saint, St Paul the Apostle, with a parade, musical performances, beauty contests and cultural shows.                   Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta.
