A festival of rich culture and heritage

Every year, Vigan celebrates Kannawidan and during this competition, the Ilocano people demonstrate cultural displays, native items and the skills of the Ilocanos as well. The Kannawidan Ilocos competition has become an annual associate competition aimed at raising awareness of the preservation of the province's rich cultural heritage, customs and traditions and a display of the various agricultural and agricultural practices.

One of the provinces that is rich when it comes to culture and tradition is Ilocos Sur. The food and cuisine of Ilocanos is also very delicious and special, pushing other Filipinos from different parts of the Philippines as well as tourists to come and experience the festival. The opportunity to display their own specialties from their own places is granted to the native people. This is through the Fair for Food and Trade. Similarly to skills, showdown results. The music and dances are carried out with this. And it typically takes place in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, at the Tamag Rounds.

Sadly, since we are already in the midst of a pandemic, mass meetings are forbidden. Some activities had to cease.
