At long last
It’s finally the end of this school year, I’ve been waiting
for this moment to come but I did not expect it to be this fast. Distance
learning is hard and It has taught me many valuable life skills, like patience,
persistence, time management, and understanding. Every academic year concludes
with the fourth quarter. Normally, when face-to-face lessons were available in
past years, I would be less motivated and industrious during this time.
However, I've observed that I'm now more motivated to complete my duties, not
only in TLE but in other courses as well. This shift, I feel, was brought about
by the behaviors that were forced upon us, the students, in order to satisfy
the expectations of this new method of learning.
I have
flaws in every topic as a student, and ICT is no different. During the fourth
quarter of school, I had trouble understanding our classes, mostly due to a
lack of discussion and materials. In fact, during the school year, I had
trouble understanding several of our classes.
Everything
has become more complicated as a result of the epidemic, which is a truth we
cannot alter. What we can alter is our perspective on things. Students are all
weary from responding modules, and I, as a student, am feeling that exhaustion,
especially now that the quarter is coming to a close. Instead of focusing on my
weariness, I've learnt to channel it into motivation to complete my work. I've
effectively altered my mentality from "I'm fatigued and can't complete my
modules any longer" to "I'm exhausted and must finish my modules as
soon as possible." And it's all owing to our demanding professors, who
pushed us to be the best we could be. When we feel held back by circumstances
beyond our control, we must do our best to turn these circumstances to our
benefit.
