Humanity’s Only Hope

The nation is presently engaged in a struggle to overcome a worldwide catastrophe brought on by the SARS CoV-2 virus, also known as the COVID-19 virus. From a simple disease, it soon grew into a pandemic that is now physically and emotionally torturing mankind. There is currently no treatment for the virus, although there are several vaccinations available, including Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna vaccine, Oxford-AstraZeneca, and others. The release of a COVID-19 vaccine has been anticipated for over a year, but now that it is accessible, not everyone is eager to be vaccinated. Isn't it better to use every opportunity to avoid dangers in times of crisis, especially when it comes to health? Despite any reservations regarding vaccinations, it should always be remembered that the vaccines that are made available to the public have been proven and tested to be safe. Because of the pandemic, every country's goal should be to ensure the immunization of every individual.

Vaccines boost our immune system and help us fight illnesses, keeping us from getting sick. (2018, Norsk) Vaccination is critical now that there is a COVID-19 epidemic. Doubting existing vaccinations in the midst of a pandemic is a terrible idea. Vaccines have been long overdue, so why not take advantage of them now that they are available? Everyone should take part in the immunization program since prevention is better than treatment, especially when there is no cure.

Vaccines are examined and evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before being approved for general use, which can take months or even years. Despite this, a few vaccinations have been given emergency approval owing to the threat of a pandemic and popular demand. One of the vaccines is the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which has been shown to be 95% effective in preventing the COVID-19 virus from causing symptoms in persons aged 16 and up. The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which has been shown to be 94 percent effective in avoiding COVID-19 viral symptoms in persons aged 18 and above, is another option.

Humanity's only hope against the terrible illness is vaccines. Vaccination that results in immunity would stop the virus from spreading further. After a long wait for vaccinations, everyone should be willing to have oneself vaccinated in order to protect not only themselves but also others. Vaccines that have been made available to the public have a high effectiveness rating and have been shown to be safe in numerous trials. There is no reason to be concerned because vaccinations provide protection rather than damage. To safeguard the entire globe against COVID-19, herd immunity must be developed, and the virus may soon be eradicated.
