  Hundreds of people were killed in an epidemic years ago, prompting the inhabitants of Vigan to perform a nine-day novena. Surprisingly, the number of deaths reduced as the days progressed, until there were none on the final day. The Binatbatan Festival of the Arts grew out of this. The Feast of the Natives, also known as the Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, first took place on May 3, 1883, and is now held every year from the final week of April to the first week of May.   Former Mayor Eva S. Medina continued her campaign to promote Vigan's culture, which resulted in the establishment of the Viva Vigan Festival of the Arts in the year 11995. We have seen the difficulties that women confront. Vulnerability emerges as a result of actions of prejudice and injustice that affect women of all ages. For decades, women have been denied their human rights, and the majority of them are still fighting to survive the unjust conditions that are wreaking havoc on their well-being.   The nation is presently engaged in a struggle to overcome a worldwide catastrophe brought on by the SARS CoV-2 virus, also known as the COVID-19 virus. From a simple disease, it soon grew into a pandemic that is now physically and emotionally torturing mankind. There is currently no treatment for the virus, although there are several vaccinations available, including Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna vaccine, Oxford-AstraZeneca, and others. The release of a COVID-19 vaccine has been anticipated for over a year, but now that it is accessible, not everyone is eager to be vaccinated. Isn't it better to use every opportunity to avoid dangers in times of crisis, especially when it comes to health? Despite any reservations regarding vaccinations, it should always be remembered that the vaccines that are made available to the public have been proven and tested to be safe.
