Be Prepared or Face the Consequences

 


The Philippines is one of the countries most prone to natural disasters. This is due to its location along the Ring of Fire, or typhoon belt – a large Pacific Ocean region where many of Earth's volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur.

 

There is currently no way to reliably predict when an earthquake will happen, its strength or length. Earthquakes can vary in their magnitude, the size of the earthquake at its source, and length, lasting from seconds to minutes. Which makes it dangerous for us humans and there are many effects of earthquakes on humans, effects that are life  threatening and that is why it is important to take part in earthquake drills to be prepared, otherwise you will be in danger and even lose your life.

 

The importance of taking a part in National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill program of the government is to be prepared for unexpected disasters.
